Stuart Patterson welcomes the Love Unlimited Sound System to East Village on Saturday 20th March 2010. We will be playing all-night alongside Stu in the Deco Lounge & will be diging deep in the disco crates as we head to London town.
UndergroundHouseMusicMovement host the basement with Moody Manc & a live set from Saytek – so with quality tunes old & new, across both floors it should be a top session and we hope some London heads can make it down on the night.
“Don’t Let Go” by Tony Orlando is another great example of a non-disco artist delivering the disco real-deal. Tony Orlando (& Dawn) are best know for the worldwide smash hit of Tie a Yellow Ribbon, a song thats meaning became widely known in civilian life in the 1970s as a reminder of an absent loved one, either in the military or in jail & as a symbol is still used.
Released on Elektra in 1978, its a real slow burner and folks are often surprised when it clicks just who the track is by and when you look & listen to Tony’s back catalogue you know this is his disco moment.
D/L is available for a strictly limited time.
