oki-ni.com has just announced an exclusive collaboration with renowned record collector, Mark Seven.
In conjunction with his 12” release, Travelogue, oki-ni is giving away a limited 3 disc set mixed by Mark entitled A SALUTE TO THE MEN OF VAUXHALL. The mix was taken from his set at Horse Meat Disco in May 2009 and the artwork was designed by Mark himself. Only 100 copies have been made. 50 copies of the release will be given away free to anyone who orders ‘Travelogue’ from www.oki-ni.com and the remaining 50 will be given to JET SET records in Tokyo.
A SALUTE TO THE MEN OF VAUXHALL is a 3 hour mix of ecstatic vocal disco, edgy hi-nrg, all the way through to late-night boogie and down-tempo sleaze.
Travelogue is going to be released on new label Twelve Inches of Delight and will be Mark’s first collection of original compositions in over ten years. This latest EP includes three very individual pieces – from a live rock jam to the proto-house sounds of early 80’s New York and finishes off with an exotic far-eastern trip on the back of YMO.
Travelogue will be released in a limited edition and presented in hand screen-printed, numbered sleeves designed by Mark Seven.
Here’s a cheeky download for those that didn’t manage to get hold of a copy – limited time only to grab while you can.
