Blue Mitchell was a jazz, soul and funk trumpeter. Over the years he played with the likes the Horace Silver Quintet, Chick Corea, Ray Charles, Tony Bennett, Lou Donaldson, Grant Green and Jimmy Smith
From the Funktion Junction LP here is his great take of Love Machine featuring the voices of Patti Austin and Gwendolyn Guthrie.
